The Paedophile Hunter is a documentory shown on Channel 4 that follows online Vigilante Stinson Hunter who pose's as underage children on Social Networking sites in order to identify and draw out men they assert have paedophilic predilections. Any evidence from initial introductions to final confrontations is filmed, passed on to the police and posted online. Multiple Bafta Award-winning director Dan Reed captures the 'catches' from Hunter's initial introductions online through to the final confrontations.

 

In this extraordinary documentary, Reed explores the shocking scale of the problem of online grooming and the complex relationship between the vigilantes, the police and people who use social network sites to groom underage children.I think the Paedophile Hunter is a good TV show for people to watch as we can clearly see what is going on everyday from the online grooming aspect. It implies to us that when we watch it, online grooming is a serious thing and people aren't taking it seriously enough. 

Catfish Research - MTV

Catfish: The TV Show is an American reality-based documentary series airing on MTV about the truths and lies of online dating. The series is based on the 2010 film Catfish and is hosted by Nev Schulman. It premiered on November 12, 2012, with the third season premiering on May 7, 2014. On the internet, a "catfish" is a person who creates fake personal profiles on social media sites—pretending to be someone more outwardly appealing than his/her true self, by using someone else's pictures and false biographical information. These "catfish" usually intend to trick an unsuspecting person or persons into falling in love with them.
