Shane Meadows

Shane Meadows is an English film director, screenwriter, occasional actor and BAFTA winner.  Much of the content of his films is semi-autobiographical and based on his experiences. He has directed films such as This Is England, Twenty Four Seven and Small Brass. This Is England had several different sequels. The first being set in 1986, the second in 1998 and the third in 1990Much of the content of his films is semi-autobiographical and based on his experiences in Uttoxeter. Twenty Four Seven was inspired by his youth, both at a boxing club, and also playing in a local football club. Despite some huge losses, the club's coach never lost faith in them. 

Noel Clarke

Noel Clarke is an English actor, screenwriter and director from London. Clarke appeared in and wrote the screenplay for Kidulthood and wrote, directed and starred in the sequel, Adulthood. He studied Media at the University of North London before going on to take acting classes at London's Actors Centre. On directing his first film, Clarke described his experience, "Directing for the first time was definitely a challenge and tiring at times. It was a steep learning curve and if you're willing to do stuff and go with it, then it pays off."

Lee Hall 

Lee Hall is an English playwright and screenwriter. He is best known for the 2000 film Billy Elliot. In 1997, his playwriting career was launched with the broadcast of his radio play, Spoon face Steinberg, on BBC Radio 4. Other works that Lee Hall has successfully done is Pride and Prejudice, Gabriel and Me and War Horse. Lee went to Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, where he studied English Literature and was taught by the poet Paul Muldoon. After leaving Cambridge, he worked as a youth theatre fundraiser in Newcastle and at the Gate Theatre in London. In 1997, his playwriting career was launched with the broadcast of his radio play, Spoonface Steinberg, on BBC Radio 4.
