'DIVORCE'

In this shot that was at the beginning of the short film 'Divorce' we are clearly shown straight away one of the characters. They have used a wide shot to portray that what time of year it is aswell. Even though it is out of focus and the shot itself is mainly on the young man in the foreground, we can see a tree and bright lights in the background which implies that it is Christmas. I think that this shot was good to open with because already we are trying to figure out what is going to happen in the short film.
Shortly after the first shot, we are immediately shown a young women in the short film and they have also used a wide angle shot. Once the young man notices the women, we see back to back slow motion shots of them both looking at each other. I think what they did with the shot reverse shot was good but they did it for too long. If they only did it a couple of times I think it would have been more effective but it dragged on quite a bit which would make the audience bored.
