Traumatised - Take 2
When filming and editing this second take, we still come across some issues that need to be improved.
We got feedback from our teacher and here are a couple of the examples of what he said:
Firstly, we need to sort out the credits because when the actors names come on the screen, they clash together which isnt meant to happen. Therefore, when we do take 3 of Traumatised and do the editing, we will make sure that the editing looks profesional and doesnt clash or blend into anything on the footage we have done.
Secondly, we need to make more of an emotional impact on the audience to imply whats going on. When we film take 3, we could have shots of the actress 'Emily' crying or upset to show that what is happening in her life is taking an effect on her. This will make the audience aware of what is going on and how she is feeling.
Also, we need to film certain parts of our footage. Especially the flashback parts where Jay slaps Emily around the face. The footage is too blurry and it the effect we have on it doesnt make it look like a flashback. On the other hand, I think the acting was good but our footage wasnt as good as we has hoped so it didnt work out good. In other parts of the short film, there is footage where the movement is all over the place. When we have a close up of Jay and Emily laughing whilst walking towards the end of the film, Emily keeps getting cut out of the camera shot every now and then. When we do take 3 we will make sure that both actors are inside the camera shot and no one is out of it.
