At the beginning of our short introduction to our film, we have a plain black screen with our ident placed over the top. We made the ident so it only lasts about the maximum 5 seconds, we done this so it doesnt take up too much time. After this again, we have another plain black screen in which mine and the other members of my groups names appear on the screen to show what we put into the film, for example being sound operator. Whilst this is happening, we have our female lead saying a voice over to make it all surreal.
Following on from this, we then have an establishing shot of the woods to show what location we are at. Over the top we had the name of our film Traumatised which we have changed now. We have moved the title of the film untill the end so it gives the audience a more dramatic effect and to show that the film is about to start. Lastly, in some points during the short film introduction, we have close up shots of actor and actress. We placed their name and what character they play under it so we understand who is actually in the film.
LOCATION

When filming for our short film introduction, we filmed the most of it in the woods. We chose this as our location because even though it seems like its in an inclosed area, the lighting really helped us. Following on from this, as a whole, setting this type of film in the woods fits perfectly. All throughout the film, most of the shots are of them happily laughing but when you notice that they are in the woods it gives the audience a sense that somethings not right.

CHARACTERS

Both our characters in our short film introduction fit perfectly to their role. Jay, who is played by Zibran Ahmed, is meant to play the role as a violent and aggressive boyfriend who doesnt like having someone talk back to him. Emily, who is played by Gielliene Gaa, is meant to play the role of being an innocent young adult who doesnt know right from wrong, she is scared of her boyfriend but it is only very rarely that she stands up for herself infront of him.
Both our characters play there role perfectly. Gielliene has had experience before in acting so she already knows how to act on set and how to play her role as we told her too. Zibran hasnt had as much experience with acting but he is still able to play the role of being voilent and agressive well.
FRAMEWORK

We used a variety of shots to show how happy the couple was. We also did a lot of close up shots of Emily upset, we did this so it builds up the tension of whats going to happen. This allowed the emotion to be prolonged throughout our short film introduction. In the shot above, we see a close up shot of Emily and Jay laughing which tells the audience how much time they actually spent together before there relation took a turn for the worst.
