Inception
The title sequence of this film begins with a blank black background with white credits in the bottom right hand corner. After this a shot of a maze that becomes more exposed expands into a circle; which then fades into lines flicking across the screen. After that, the lines turn into large grey blocks at the same time as the music gets louder and more exciting.
Further on in the title sequence, it turns into a bright yellow background with steps flowing across the screen in different directions. While this is happening, the credits of the main characters are gliding in and when the next credit comes in, the current one dissaperes. They dont leave the main characters name on for too long which implies that they dont want the audience to know more about who is playing the role rather then the film itself. After this, it goes back to a plain white screen with light blue lines flying across the screen whilst showing the editors of the film. When watching this you see that they have left their names up longer then the main characters. As the title sequence goes on, the music gets more intense.
Later on in the title sequence, the lines turn into big buildings. At the same time as this happening, the music changes to a more quieter tone but still is intense at the same time. Right at the end of the film, the music suddenly stops and it shows a plain black screen which is then followed by the credits of who write and directed it. Overall, I like this title sequence because it is really simple with the lines because it implies that it is never ending, but at the same time it is quite confusing because you don't know what is going on which makes it more intense.
